Andrea Cafarelli

Vice-rector of the University of Udine, Italy and member of the UNESCO Chair on Intersectoral Safety for Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience, SPRINT-Lab

Andrea Cafarelli is a full professor of Economic History at the University of Udine, where he also serves as the Vice-Rector. He has authored several monographs dedicated to the economic development of Friuli between the 19th and 20th centuries, international shipping, and the emergence of electrical cooperation. In recent years, his research focus has shifted towards monetary issues, particularly examining the regulatory mechanisms of metal-based systems and topics related to emergency management. Additionally, he is a co-author of the book "L'Italia economica: Tempi e fenomeni del cambiamento dall'Unità a oggi," published by Wolters Kluwer and now in its fifth edition.
