Launch event of the Resilienhace Platform

The launch event of the ResiliEnhance Platform took place in Udine on October 24-25, 2022, in the form of a networking and knowledge-sharing gathering, hosted by the International Centre for Mechanical Sciences (CISM).

The primary objective of the event was to harness the expertise of participants to explore territorial resilience amid complexity and adversity. Our overarching mission was the establishment of a regional platform in the CEI area devoted to strengthening resilience, thereby contributing to the 2030 Global Agenda.

The ResiliEnhance Platform serves as a hub for interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration, uniting experts from various disciplines. It functions as a conduit for facilitating these exchanges, with a primary focus on resilience in the context of disaster risk. During the discussions, participants recognized the pivotal role of addressing systemic risk, climate change, natural disasters, man-made threats, the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the growing intricacies of our future.

The core objective ofht ePlatform is to bridge the gap between scientific insights and decision-making processes, reinforcing governance structures, and fostering collective knowledge development. The outcomes of these endeavors aim at reinforcing the science-policy-society interface and promoting collaborations with relevant institutions and networks, ensuring continuous support for the platform's objectives.

Upon the conclusion of the launch event of the ResiliEnhance platform, experts collaborated to craft the Udine Chart. This document underscores the centrality of resilience in achieving Sustainable Development Goals and managing complex risks. It emphasizes the importance of cross-sectoral approaches and highlights the essence of knowledge co-creation.
